EyeTracking is the tracking of the eye or gaze position using cameras or reflected beams.

The most practical option for wearable computers is a small head-mounted camera or webcam tracking the eye pupil directly. A normal webcam can be used by removing the IR filter, so it is sensitive to IR wavelengths, and illuminating the eye with a small IR LED source. Software can the interpret the webcam image to provide a gaze direction.
